Iran’s Copper Export Boosts 60% in 8 Months

The rate of copper exported by National Iranian Copper Industries Co. ,since the start of current Iranian year (on March), reached to 315706 tones valued at $688,200,000, indicating 60% and 15% boost in terms of volume and value compared with preceding year.

According to a report released by IMDRO's PR out of the volume, the share of cathode copper is 42%, while the rate of concentrate copper , corroded copper caldron, molybdenum copper and copper wire are 28% ,23%, 5% and 2% , respectively.

The production of cathode, as well as anode coppers in the 8 months of current Iranian year was 139,169 and 171780 tones, respectively indicating 2% and 5% growth compared with the same period last year.

The same report represents that the volume of total extraction by National Iranian Copper Industries Co. is 62,501,297 tons, suggesting 1% pick up compared to last year.
