Iran - Afghanistan Ties to Boost in Geological & Mining Sectors

Upon signing a MOU between GSI and Mineral Exploration of Iran and Afghanistan’s GSI, the cooperation of the two countries will extend in this field.
According to a report released by IMIDRO’s PR, the MOU was inked by the two parties in a bid to undertake the training courses and follow-up scientific and technical cooperation in earth sciences.
Accordingly, the parties reached agreement on holding a four-day training course about sedimentary phosphate deposits and igneous, including short course on theory and visiting Jirood and Gazestan areas ,as well as a three-day course in the field of Iran’s iron and copper, including visiting Choghart, Golegohar, and Meydok areas.
