Iran’s Aluminum Production Hit 9% Growth in April & May

The rate of aluminum production by Iran’s units reached to 51.888 tones in April and May, indicating 9 percent growth compared to the same period in the previous year, thus higher rate than the predicted target in the plan is achieved ,reported by IMIDRO’s PR.
In the aforementioned period, Iralco produced 31.4 thousand tons, while the production of Almahdi Aluminum Complex and Hormozal was 18 thousand and 324 and 2 thousand and 174 tons, respectively.
Likewise, aluminum export has increased during the period as the export of Iralco reached to 14 thousand and 585 tons, valued at 32 million and 670 thousand dollars, displaying 33 and 117 percent increase in weight and value terms, respectively.
Meanwhile, Almahdi Aluminum Complex exported 18 thousand and 71 tons, with the worth of 40 million and 583 thousand dollars, indicating 43 and 126 percent growth in weight and value terms, respectively.
Also Iran Alumina Company produced a total of 38 thousand and 746 tons of alumina powder in the last two months, showing 20 percent hike compared to the same period in last year and one percent growth compared to the predicted target.
According to the report, during the mentioned period, the rate of domestic sale by Iralco was 13 and 18 thousand tons, valued at $ 35.5 m, while Almahdi Aluminum Complex sold one thousand and 773 tons, valued at $ 4.41 m and Iran Alumina Company purchased 20 thousand and 793 tones, with the worth of $ 8.5 m.
